Move along little doggies…. I am going to be rambling here for a moment. I usually use this space to work my thoughts throughwith the hopes that at least a m entertaining if in the least amuseing. One of the things I am is busy.. busy mind busy space busy life… I keep myself busy, all put on myself no one expcts anything from me, I have not been employed for over 18 years. Now of course I have clients who expect me to deliver on my promises, children and husband who are wanting to be cared for but really ?? It can get on with out me. So why do I pressure myself ? Why don’t I just get comfy and do the same old thing over and over ? BORING!! I can’t handle boring, I need to have potential an dlook forward to the potential.
What am I looking forward to ?? After 7 months of trying to work in my house, I have come to the conclusion I just can’t… I need to have a dedicated space with a door that I can put a do not disturb sign on and just plain work. We have decided that we would remodel a portion of an out building that our laundry is in to be my new Studio… Door is now in new walls almost completed. Paint to come soon. Only can do so much at once finansially but after Christmas sales I should be able to afford to remodel the roof and refinish the ruff concrete floor. It will be a nice space about 10 feet wide and 18 feet long… will have to keep the center open since it is the main way to our only full bath. And no I do not have a full bath in the main house… we have been remodeling for over 5 years now and the bathroom some how became my Craft storage, hung a curtain and there it has sat for nearly 3 years. MAYBE this move will make it so my bathroom gets finished??? I so look forward to a hot bath in my own house not a hotel.
This move will give my family back its Dining table… which will be very nice. Also the computer and my Bear finishing will be out of my bedroom. I am thinking a nice over stuffed chair and a lamp… to be able to leave my bedroom door open and make myself available to the children. This leads to what will I do for a schedule. Kids are all off to school by 8, Allison is woken up at 9 and starts her work around here at 10. I think I will adopt the same schedule 10 o’clock I will start. Work till 3 when the first child gets home and get homework chores and dinner done. Bedtime is not till 9 but I think that I want to adopt a 8 o’clock quite time policy. We are not a TV family but they are allowed a movie in the evening, usually not till 7 but I think this will have to move up till 6… maybe implementing this will quicken up the clean up after dinner. Then I can head back out to the shop @ 8 and work till midnight packing orders, making kits and updating the blog. One thing for sure I will have to get better lighting in my studio soon !!
YAY !! I have a start to what I am doing !! I have already laid out the studio and I think I can get everything in. I gain a little space, not much really extra but a few wall shelves and a work table that will be built over the chest freezer I have to work around. I have a wonderful 5 foot Garden window we salvaged years ago that will be installed at some point in time. I plan to paint the antique door we rescued with chalk board paint and maybe some magnetic paint to be able to make notes to myself… Need that ” Mad teddy creator at work, do not disturb sign”
and WHERE did the summer go ??? All the plans of sitting in my Adirondack chair and crocheting while sipping sun tea ??? I think I did do this one or two times. All the canning planned ?? I got 100 pounds of blueberrys Frozen but uhhh… there is only one bag left. Kids ate them since Anna can not eat ice cream Low Cholesterol diet and all

New designs in the works. I have been focusing very heavily on My business since January of this year, 9 months now. Lots of goals and have accomplished quite a few… so many more to go too. One thing I have discovered is a need for one dedicated space to work in. That is now being accomplished a wall and door are being added this very minute to my laundry building. All of my crocheting and bear making will be delegated to this new room even my computer will be out there. I hope some one makes me a Do not Disturb sign !!

I am on a Roll this new Cotton Nubby yarn has lent it self well to bear making and there is Already a new bear on the table ! This will be Ben he will be an old fashioned Circus bear. He does the neatest trick with his Starry balls and you can lead him around by his golden chain !! Ben is ever so Gentle

The Process of Designing a Bear starts with the Yarn… I was given this Great Nubby Cotton in the absolute perfect teddy bear brown just the other day Thank you MOM !!! The feel the way it works up begins the creative streak…. I work up a basic body style and then start to pull together a feel for what the finished bear will look like… Digging through my treasures I find the perfect accessories… Deciding Charm needed a teddy of her own seemed to fit her well. This bear is actually the second one I made for her the first was a little to Chibi for the Antique feel of this Bear. The color Scheme comes into the Vision… and this is where I really start pulling the personality out of the bear
Here is Charms Body Parts all ready to joint up… eyeballs are one of the first things I add. Charms are Black glass, with Wool Felt behind and she is Shaded and Blushed. I tend to leave the now till very last before dressing Charm in her Treasures.
We have had a terribly BUSY month this July… on the 6th Anna had her Gall bladder removed. The surgery went very well she spent one night in the hospital for monitoring her blood sugar… which was horrendous for days Amazing how stress effects blood glucose. That was more a inconvenience than anything though I am amazed , actually tickled how well she recovered. We have had to remind her she can’t go swimming and not to lift or strain herself… otherwise happy and healthy. The stomach aches she has complained of seem to have subsided. She is still having high blood sugars here and there but I think it may be back to normal !! Woot !!
Luckily Anna recovered very well since on the 12th I finally saw my Dr. First real visit since my 3 days in the hospital… what over a month ago now. Lots of Blood tests and ultrasounds ordered and I do feel we are headed to a diagnosis. I too am a Diabetic have been since my 20s. My Insulin intake is insanely high and my Sugars are still very unreasonably high. I have had this issue for years and have not been able to get someone to actually take the time to find out why. I NEVER have a low blood sugar despite taking more insulin than I should for my body weight. This Dr is really looking They are testing for Lupus and something called myasthenia gravis She believes there is something wrong with my Adrenals.. Causing the Hyperthyroidism…. Now to get my self in gear and make some sales… no insurance means all these tests are out of pocket 
Well got to fly Allison just had her wisdom teeth extracted and is wanting some more jello Cheerio !! Things are on the mend and I am excited for a potential answer to my ills.

Well at least that is what I’ve been told…but I am FREEZING and it is cool and overcast today. Today was meant to be spent planting more Garden and if I can ever warm up… an over cast day is perfect for that. I do need to replant the radish bed.
My Eldest children are in California with their Grandfather surfing and touring…. The youngest with her health conditions could not go and this week I am trying to make sure Anna does not feel left out, luckily Roseburg has a lot of free events through out the week. We will be attending the Half shell concert tonight and then a a Movie in the park on Friday. Sunday is the 4th and then on the 6th Annas surgery. Trying very hard to keep busy and not become mother hen about things So here is what I’ve been upto.
Nip is one of my Pomeranians I Show and Breed Pomeranians and Specialize in Colors. Nip this last Saturday won reserve winners dog, which was very exciting. The big excitement was that Robbie/Aka Julian won the points a 4 point major from the puppie class. Robbie is my breeding and was the funnest puppy to have around. My friend Teresa White is doing an excellent job with this little showy wonder
On the Crocheting front… it has been busy but I hope to release this little hedgehog pattern.. today or tomorrow. Just a sneak peek he now has a face and is SO CUTE !! this series Patterns will be available on Etsy. Individual patterns will be $3.50 and I will also offer a discount for multiple purchases. I really am excited about this series…easy and quick to crochet. There is also a bit of a surprise Idea.. all I can say is you will want to crochet 5 of each design I am including black bears, skunk, fox, racoon, chipmunk, rabbit. The ideas just keep flowing with this design !!
I think I will start with raspberry picking at the local u-pick today.
