Amigurumi Pink Elephant

It is Monday and I thought this little Amigurumi Elephant represents my Mondays Best. I am a person who is really good at Ideas, very creative, very easy to excite, jump head in Mondays are meant to be the work day that I get old paperwork done… bills for the house, get chores ran, phone calls made. Tuesday tends to be catchup for what did not get done or comes up on Mondays. Today for example, I’ve called my Dr. I have a horrible infection under a bad tooth made two other calls and will be headed to Portland to meet a flight. Portland is about 3.5 hours away my husband does the driving so it is a good time to get some crocheting done That reminds me I want to find a book light I can clip to my blouse, that way I can crochet in the car after dark.  Wednesday is old work.. Cleaning the Crochet storage area is top of the list this week… sigh I do NOT look forward to that. Thursday and Friday I get to work on what is exciting me at the moment. Woot !!!

This Last week between Family Vacation and being sick in bed Not much got done… It is the second week in February and well I have GOALS !! One of these goals is to list a bear on Ebay. I won’t be able to do it on Sunday so it has to be Wednesday this week.

Kanji will be available on ebay for 7 days. I am excited, I have not had a bear for sale for a long while. This means I have to get his listing ready… not a big deal but the first time I build the page for listings takes me awhile.

There are of course the Boobly Woobly Amigurumi Patterns to complete. I think I am going to have to approach this as write patterns in Notepad 2-3 a day, then next Tuesday spend a day working with Publisher to create a layout I really like. I would like to have my book “Boobly Woobly Amigurumi” Published by the end of March. Not sold on the name Anyone have any ideas ? These Amis just automatically make you want to shake them and make them dance.

I LOVE Blogging it helps me collect my thoughts, find a direction.. NOW… if I could just make myself stick to task !!

I love pandas… all pandas and black bears.. ohohoh and polar bears. I pretty much have a thing for black and white. It is the contrast. I also have great memories of seeing the first baby pandas born at the National zoo Such rolly polly little fat babes with no aggression so slow almost melancholy. HAPPY PANDA Day…. Totally unofficial but Pandas will be on my mind

I am CRANKY !! and this little melancholy lion really puts the ROAR in to my mood :O Today… while sick… I jump up at 8am my daughter Anna is on a precise schedule weekends or not. This is not my natural pattern I truly get my best work done at 1am. I feed her give her and myself our insulin injections. Again not a fun thing we handle it fine after so long, but it really is a drag to be tied to a refrigerated syringe required drug it takes careful planning to do anything.

I hadan appt in town today and Frederick spent the night at a friends so I had to find out what time I was required to pick him up..2pm. Ok… Call my husband and let him know to do that. Go to my appt then grab some lunch. I am really into this hole in the wall BBQ place we found recently they have the best Chili and corn bred and a fantastic Smoked beef or Pork sandwich for only $4. So GOOD and such a great deal I order 2 more to go for Anna and My Husband Greg.

I drive home thinking “lord let me get my chores done so I can just take a nap”… we live about 8 miles out. Can’t use cell phones in cars in Oregon anymore.. so I have Allison call dad to come to the gate and grab his lunch while it is somewhat warm. Allison and I are going to run out to the Bakery and get Bread we are out…. OK all this is pretty normal.

Wait for it WAIT…. Greg meets us at the gate. “WHO did the last load of LAUNDRY?” My husband is an only child and after 22 years I am done with BS he will talk to us nice… I am just done with his nonsense.  I am not going to respond I am just driving off. Greg yells “You washed a CAT” I hit the BRAKES !!! “WHAT???” Apparently the last load of laundry Allison did, included one of the barn cats My husband of course jokes “at least it was a clean kill”…. This SUCKS !!!

So we buried a kitty today, my husband proceeds to forget Fred when I remind him 20 minutes late he goes to the wrong friends house to pick him up… I get an Angry call “Where is Fred?” get that straightened out and now Fred is playing his Electric Guitar and all I want is that nap I SO looked Forward to.  ROAR !!!!!!!!!!

I think this little guy may be my favorite of the Ami gang… Even his ears are crocheted in and though you can’t see this in the picture he has the CUTEST little waggly tail

I had so much fun designing this little Amigurumi Bunny… I’ve never used a pom pom maker before this project, and I just love the natural kind of handmade look I was easily able to produce for her fuzzy wuzzy oh so cute tail… I may have to make a whole bunch of different colors … hmm…what is a group of bunnys called ? Girls are Does…boys are Bucks….

I just adore the Fresh eggs from our hens and for the last few years the hens have produced enough eggs that the children have made a little business of selling the eggs to the teachers at school.

This year the hens are happily scratching at the gravel but no eggs yet

What kind of Hen would this chick end up being… white I am guessing.

Maybe not a hen though I could use a Rooster

As I sit here chomping down on Chili with a Salad… I think of how GREAT my life is !!! Feeling very good right now My Blood Sugars are the best they have been in nearly 10 years… yay me !! For those of you who do not know. My youngest Daughter Anna and I are both Insulin controlled Diabetics my eldest Daughter takes medication to control her insulin levels.

Times can be very tough and due to the Health issues I am a stay at home mom… secret little yay me here …. I really like being around for my family, caring for my animals and crocheting. My Husband is a Fiber Optic Engineer and is Self employed.. because of the economic down turn… lets just say it depression. His work is very sparse. Today he is working.. again YAY !!!

But I love it most when a plan comes together!! At the beginning of the year I Purchased an erase board calendar and wrote on it a basic plan to organize myself, become more professional, this included a basic work schedule. A time when I would be done for the day… never really accomplished this Set Goals for the month. Blogging and the Vannas choice contest being top two with some Social networking include.. The end of the month is coming quickly and I feel I have made great progress !! A few things to streamline and a few that need just plain determined stick to it bullheadedness.

New goals for February need to be set. I want to make sure pattern writing does happen once a week and my shopping cart feature is finished. I would like to have a Bear of the month available… one of my big projects with felted faces perhaps and offer that with Bear Pile and maybe Ebay. Of Course the free Valentine gift pattern will be posted… guess that means I better start learning about PDF files.

I am excited by the Potential. I feel Great. I am happy to be getting to know all of you !! Today is just good

Here I am up at 1 am again writing in my Blog This tends to be my quite time though I do wish it were closer to 11 and will be trying to get to bed about that time soon.

This little guy should put me in the right space early to bed early to rise… but this early bird can have the worm.. YUCK !! I will have English Breakfast tea with Canned milk and 3 minute eggs smeared on toast with butter instead Thank you

This the First of this Body style I designed This little guy is so happy and ready to just hop on into your life ! In designing him I had a few bugs to fix how to make the mouths transition was the biggest problem… the solution was simply not finishing the mouth piece with a slip stitch and orienting the finish in the bottom of the mouth when it was crocheted in. I like the clean result… now if I could only find this guy a tiny little crown he would be ready for his Princesses kisses !!
